Privacy Notice
This notice explains what we collect when you play on play.apex-mc.net, use this site, or join our Discord — and what we do with it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
- Game data: your Minecraft username and UUID, IP address, join and leave times, playtime, chat messages, commands, and in-game activity such as builds, claims, kills and transactions.
- Purchase data: what you bought and when. Payments are handled by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.
- Contact data: your Discord ID if you join our server, and your email address or mobile number if you give them to us.
- Site data: basic request logs and aggregate analytics. This site sets no advertising cookies.
2. Why we collect it
- to run the server, deliver your ranks and purchases, and keep your progress;
- to moderate — detect cheating, ban evasion, duplicate giveaway entries and abuse;
- to run and verify the giveaway, and to pay the winner;
- to answer support tickets and process refunds;
- to send you messages you have asked for, and to meet our legal obligations.
We log IP addresses because it is the only reliable way to enforce bans and detect alt accounts. We do not use them to identify you outside the game.
3. Players under 18
APEX is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 18, do not give us your email address or mobile number without a parent or guardian’s permission.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it and close the account on request.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers who help us run APEX — our hosting provider, our payment processor, Discord, and email or SMS delivery providers — and only as much as they need. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud, abuse or a threat to someone’s safety.
Our servers and some providers are located outside Australia, so your information may be stored or processed overseas.
5. Messages you can opt out of
By giving us your mobile number you agree to receive text messages from APEX about Season One, the launch giveaway and your free rank. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of joining the server, entering the draw, or making any purchase. You must be 13 or older to give us your number, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian’s permission first.
You can opt out of marketing at any time — reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or email us. You will still get essential messages about your account and purchases while you hold one.
6. How long we keep it
We keep game and moderation data for as long as your account exists and for a reasonable period afterwards so bans stay enforceable. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We delete or de-identify the rest when we no longer need it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the privacy regulator in your country.
Some data we cannot delete on request — for example, ban records and transaction records we are required to keep.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password on your Minecraft and Discord accounts, and never share your account.
