Is the rank actually free? What’s the catch?
No catch. The first 100 players to join get the Vanguard rank ($9.99) free, forever. It’s a launch land-grab — we’d rather have 100 legends with status than 100 sales. Once they’re gone it’s $9.99 like everyone else.
How do I join on my phone?
Tap the gold button — Minecraft opens and APEX is added to your server list automatically. On PC, the button copies the IP instead: paste it into Multiplayer → Add Server.
Can I play on mobile, or do I need Java?
Either. Bedrock covers phones, tablets and Windows; Java covers PC and Mac. Same world, same map, same players — you’ll see Java and Bedrock players fighting side by side.
Do I keep the rank later on?
Yes — forever, across every season. The first 100 players are permanently marked as Day One in tab and get a founders plaque in the Hall of the Ascendant.
Free Vanguard rank applies to the first 100 unique players to join during the launch window. Ranks are revocable digital licences with no real-world value. Not affiliated with Mojang AB or Microsoft.
